Beta status
DisplayDNA is under active development. Features, formats, packaging and platform coverage can change. The beta may contain errors or incomplete telemetry. Keep backups of anything you need and use the app in environments where you are authorized to inspect display metadata.
What the tool is for
The tool supports display diagnostics, EDID research, configuration comparisons and the study of possible display-related indicators. It is not hardware attestation, a comprehensive capture detector, or an automated determination of misconduct.
Use judgment and independent evidence. Do not treat missing telemetry as proof that recording is absent or treat an anomaly as proof of a person’s intent. Respect the privacy and policies of other people and organizations.
Software distribution
The current beta download is available without a charge. This does not promise that every future version or service will have the same terms. A public source archive is supplied for inspection and setup; no separate open-source license or trademark permission is implied by its availability.
Third-party components retain their respective terms. Package metadata and bundled notices identify included dependencies where applicable. Do not misrepresent modified builds as the official release.
Reliability and support
The beta is provided as available, without a commitment that all functions will work in every environment. Coverage depends on operating systems, drivers, permissions, adapters and hardware. Support is best effort during development; there is no service-level commitment.
Feedback and issues
Bug reports and suggestions are welcome. Share only information you are authorized to provide, and redact identifying serials or other private details from exports before attaching them.
